Well, I've been very busy with my caricature work, having done the local Old-Time Jamboree over the weekend, teaching a class yesterday on creating comics, and preparing for the HUGE Harry Potter Book Release party in Hudson Ohio on Friday. This isn't just a bookstore event, either. The HP party involves the whole downtown of Hudson Ohio, and I've been hired by a Realty company to come in and work my inky trade. Should be lots of fun.
Anyway, just to show I love yuz, here's some new links to check out.
AAAPop: A Mike Allred site. Mike is the creator of Madman Comics and the Golden Plates, a comic about Mormonism. I ran across this site when I heard that Mike Allred had converted to Mormonism and had dedicated himself to tell the story of his sect in comics form. Lots of good stuff here.
The Daily Cross Hatch: A blog full of independent comics goodness. Brad Meltzer linked to this blog at his MySpace Portal, and it looked good. Haven't seen much of it yet, but it definitely covers a lot of good independent comics.
DC Megasite: An independently created and maintained super-huge website all about DC Comics. A place to bliss out if you are a fan of the DCU. Pack a lunch.
The TwoMorrows Tune-In Podcast: A comics podcast by Christopher Irving and company. Very informative and professionally done, though at times, you could swear Mr. Irving was channeling the comics shop guy from the Simpsons. Not a loose informal discussion format, but a professional level solo commentator (mostly) work.
Gotta go. Later.

More Links for You
I have been adding new entries to my ever-expanding list o' links that don't stink. I think.
I would have added some yesterday, but I became hopelessly entangled in Second Life, which is a new (to me, at least) 3-D chat environment that works like a Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game, or MMORPG, like World of Warcraft. It's no where as smooth as Warcraft, lag-wise, but it also doesn't take up a huge chunk of your hard-drive either. I don't know if I like it yet, or not. If I do, I may let you know my game name. We'll see.
Today's noobs include:
Captain Comics:To paraphrase his website... Mild-mannered editor Andrew A. Smith writes a weekly column about comics, games, Star Trek, Star Wars and other topics guaranteed to annoy your parents. He's also a longtime contributor to the Comics Buyers Guide, one of comic fandom's oldest publishing ventures.
Cover Browser:A wide selection of classic comic book covers. Way cool.
Matt Fraction:Writer.
DC Database Wiki:"The free DC Comics encyclopedia that anyone can edit."
Starslip Crisis:Webcomic set on a futuristic museum ship. Spaceship, that is. Well done and darn funny.
